September Newsletter

Holy smokes, as always, Summer came and went in a flash. We're officially past Labor Day, kids are headed back to school, and Hockey is right around the corner!

I want to give a huge shout out to all who participated in the Cloquet Labor Day Parade! We had over 100 participants walking in the parade, to say that CEC hockey had a presence is an understatement! I want to give a special Thank y ou to board members Jeff Ojanen and Dan Zezulka for organizing the event. A special thank you also goes out to Shaun Frye for donating his company trailer, and funds for stickers and candy!

Flow Camp has recently started! Flow Camp has now grown to serve every level level for boys and girls. Flow Camp has become an awesome generator of skill development for our association over the past several years. Not to mention, they donate their proceeds to CAHA for special projects in and around our rinks. Also, I'll mention, Flow Camp has been a great way of bridging the gap and creating a high level of positive camaraderie between Cloquet, Esko, and Carlton players, coaches, and families.

CAHA registration is still open! Please visit our website to get registered ASAP! We would love to see our mite 1 and 6u numbers increase, if you know a familiy who is interested in hockey, please send them our way.

Our Fall fundraiser is in full swing, as well. For more information, please visit the following link and get started on the most popular youth fundraiser in town!

CAHA camp will be running Sept 29- Oct 2. Look for CAHA camp registration in the coming weeks. This is a great way to get one last competitive ice touch before tryouts begin. Tryouts will begin the week after CAHA camp. See below for tryout dates.

Cloquet mites will begin in early to mid November. If you have any questions about Cloquet Mites, please reach out to mite level coordinator Matt Montgomery.

If you have questions about Esko or Carlton Mites, please visit their websites and reach out to any of their board members!

Please keep an eye out for mini-mite registration and please spread the word about mini-mites!

Lastly, if you're interested in coaching, please reach out to the appropriate level coordinator.
