Scheduling /Game Limits

Games = Referees & Scoreboard used - Gamesheet to be used

Scrimmage = NO REFEREES!!!! - Coach should be on ice - No Score kept

When trying to schedule home games, a lot of the times people reach out and say they are coming up north and looking for games.

• Once you have dates, reach out to ofiice (Justin) to see what availability for those dates are
• We have access to three rinks - Northwoods, Pine Valley, Carlton
• Justin will check all three buildings and let you know what's available
• Weeknights are usually extremely difficult, due to the amount of our teams and the massive amount of league games that are mandated to be booked, Monday - Thursday
• Tournaments do eat up a lot of weekend times, but we can look at Carlton to fill at times.
• Most of the time we can find a space, but not always.

Sharing cost with visiting teams - It is quite common (especially in the Metro) to share game costs. Here at Cloquet our team will cover home ice expense and visitors should be asked to cover referee expense. (see cost below)

• If you are doing a home & home it is accepted to not charge visiting team
• Example: Bantam A plays Rock Ridge at home in November, then goes to Rock ridge later in the season to play them again.

The association pays for a number of the home game referee expenses

• Bantams - 12 Games
• Peewees - 9 Games
• Squirts - 7 Games
• 12U Girls - 9 Games
• 10U Girls - 7 Games

After that number the cost for the referees for 25-26 are as follows:

• Bantam A - $220.00/gm
• Bantam B1 - $175.00/gm
• Bantam B2 - $145.00/gm
• Peewee A - $140.00/gm
• Peewee B1 - $135.00/gm
• Peewee B2 - $135.00/gm
• Squirt A - $120.00/gm
• Squirt B1 - $110.00/gm
• Squirt B2 - $110.00/gm
• 12UA - $135.00
• 12UB - $125.00
• 10UA - $115.00
• 10UB - $105.00

CAHA RECOMENDATIONS:

Bantams - 45 games

Peewees / U12 - 40 Games

Squirt / U10 - 35 games *** This is a hard limit per MN Hockey Rules!!!!
